Is Duncan a rat? Or is he a monkey?

I've always wondered... No, seriously. This post is all about what I would name the original campers Chinese horoscopes as and why. Some will be obvious, some not as obvious. Well here we go then...

((In order of how they arrived on the dock))

Beth: Pig
Okay I'm not being mean here, this fits Beth pretty well. Just look at the characteristics
-sincere, diligent, genuine, obliging, generous, and friendly.
-gullible, naive, lazy, and superficial
Do you understand now? Even some of the negatives are wrong. You especially see these traits in the second season though more often then in the first.

DJ: Sheep
I think you can understand this one pretty easily but I'll give you the traits anyway.
-intelligent, artistic, gentle, kind, cultured, sensitive
-Fussy, insecure, and dependent

Gwen: Bitch
and not just because I don't like her, Gwen is actually a dog. And here's why;
-devoted, resilient, unselfish, honest, resourceful, and reliable
-nosy, cynical, cantankerous, pessimistic, anxious, and introverted

Geoff: Dragon
For those who don't know alot about Chinese horoscopes, this may seem unlikely. But the dragon isn't quite what you might expect.
-resourceful, self-assured, adaptable, original, valiant, enthusiastic
-hot headed, unpredictable, critical, irritable, discourteous
((okay so he's not so much like the negatives, but you can see how he's like the positive aspects))

Lindsay: Rooster
This one is not as clearly shown as the others because of Lindsay's err...intelligently challenged brain which makes her a  bit hard to categorize but here it is.
-passionate, resilient, patriotic, industrious, courageous, and protective
-conceited, blunt, rude, bossy, aggressive, and impatient
Not really easy to see right? I'll go into more detail on this one. First off, there is a resilience too Lindsey that though subtle, is there. She dealt with Heather and usually did a good job of taking her bullying. In the second season we meet her more bossy and aggressive side when she takes charge of her team. Thirdly, though probably not meaning to be rude, Lindsay was very blunt with Courtney by telling her that she would've got voted off later anyway because no one really liked her. Whether stupidity or just honesty, that was pretty blunt and a little rude.

Heather: Monkey
This was actually a hard one, not because there weren't any Heather wasn't like, but because there were a lot she was like. But in the end, Heather is a monkey. Here are the traits;
-persuasive, resourceful, good-humored, ingenious, versatile, imaginative
-superficial, restless, impudent, sly, mischievous, and untruthful

Duncan: Snake
This was another hard one because there were some that were like him but others that were as well but didn't have the trait I wanted. Snake does but I'll have to explain this one.
-insightful, shrewd, discreet, wise, compassionate, and subtle
-proud, manipulative, malicious, possessive, vain, and sluggish
Not only is Duncan proud, manipulative, vain, and a little malicious from time to time, but being a snake also includes compassion; which Duncan tries desperately to hide, hence the discreet and subtle.

Tyler: Ox
-honest, loyal, popular, sincere, steadfast, and reliable
-stubborn, impatient, inflexible, narrow-minded, and sulky
Get it?

Harold: Dog
-Devoted, resilient, unselfish, honest, resourceful, reliable
-nosy, cynical, anxious
Since this one has already shown up, I though I'd only add the ones he really had. Firstly, Harold has got to be the most devoted guy on the show the way he follows Leshawna around like a puppy dog, pun intended. Next he's resilient with his efforts, he's unselfish, in the third season he was willing to give up his chances at the money so Leshawna would think of him as 'knightly' or something along those lines. He's pretty honest like he was when he first met her, he can be resourceful and at times reliable as well though he also tends to be nosy, cynical and anxious, especially in the first season.

Trent: Pig
Also done before, refer to Beth's horoscope to see the characteristics. Not only is Trent friendly, diligent, and sincere, he's also a genuinely nice guy all around however because of this he is also naive and gullible. He can also be materialistic as well, especially in the second season.

Bridgette: Pig
Also a pig. Bridgette is similar to the female version of Trent, just add in lazy (though I'd call it more relaxed then anything) it's easy to tell why Bridgette has the traits of the pig though.

Noah: Rabbit
This one was almost a no-brainer. The traits are;
-Astute, thoughtful, refined, docile, and wise (more like intelligent I'd say)
-cunning, snobbish, possessive, fussy, and obsessive
Though not a perfect match, Noah definitely exhibits these traits for obvious reasons.

Leshawna: Horse
The traits;
-friendly, vivacious, enduring, witty, cheerful, refined, and independent.
-selfish, reckless, vain, impatient, and volatile
I think this one is pretty obvious as to why minus the refined and vain.

Katie and Sadie: Horse
Just add the vain part and pull out the witty, refined, and independent.

Ezekiel: Due to his weirdness and and my unsure-ness of his full personality, I can't match him with a Chinese horoscope. Plus the guys just creepy.

Cody: Sheep
Refer to DJ's for traits

Eva: Dragon
Refer to Geoff and take out the enthusiastic adaptable and original traits and emphasize the negative traits.

Owen: Pig
Refer to Bridgette, Trent, Or Beth. This is for obvious reasons in the characteristics.

Courtney: Tiger
This one was a no-brainer as well and here's why;
-enthusiastic, optimistic, courageous, bold, sociable, and energetic
-volatile, impulsive, hot-headed, restless, disobedient, vain, and stubborn
The only trait people might have an argument to disagree on would probably be impulsive, considering how far ahead Courtney plans but let's not forget that when Courtney's short fuse goes off, she does some pretty impulsive things, though she'd probably say it was improvising.

Justin: Rat
-charismatic, sociable, intelligent, affable, quick-witted, and popular
-exploitative, calculative, secretive, greedy, acquisitive, and devious
though not exactly intelligent or quick-witted, he exhibits the other traits pretty clearly.

Izzy: Nope...I've got nothing...she doesn't really fit any of them well enough to put her in that grouping.

So some fit into alot of the same groups though are vastly different. Here's the reason, these aren't perfect. It's simply the ones who exhibit the most traits. Your Chinese horoscope isn't necessarily completely how you are correct? Neither will these be however I do want to add in three more characters...

Alejandro: Rat
Add in intelligent and quick-witted and refer to Justin for the other traits.

Chris: horse
though definitely not friendly and seriously not refined, he remains similar to the horse horoscope. Refer to Katie and Sadie and Leshawna to see the other traits.

Chef hatchet: Dragon
solely based on the negative traits and the valiant and self-assured traits. Refer to Eva and Geoff for the other traits.

Okay what did you think? I know this was a pretty lame post and I'll admit, I've been avoiding posting any spoilers or predictions I have for the All-stars season but next post will definitely have it!

Season 6 character types predictions

Something that is a complete mystery to many of us, is season 6 and what is to come. We know it's going to be a new island with new campers but what else? Nothing. Here's what I can predict. Stereotypes. So let's get too it.

1. The southern belle
2. the strong, silent type
3. the type B
4. the wannabe superhero
5. the ladies man
6.the bug collector
7. the outback survivor
8. the cheerleader
9. the cross dresser (not transvestite-much too grown up-think Bailey from suite life on deck)
10. the secret kung fo queen
11. the rough exterior
12. the kid at heart
13. the Shakespeare freak
14. the anime nerd

Classic stereotypes that I could see appearing in season 6 and many I would like to see. I still like the original cast though.

I love this picture. A lot. Whoever created this-major props! I love the story behind it as well. Total drama fans are such great artists. Well okay, a lot of them. Not me...I'll draw a horse and it'll end up looking like a turtle.

The Top ten best Total Drama characters to have as an ally

I know everyone has their favorites, but what about the best allies? People who can really play the game. So I'll put aside own qualms with some characters and explain why I think they're the best allies.
10. Sierra
My reasoning:
First off, the girl is freaking hilarious. Secondly, if it wasn't for her purple hair and obsession with Cody, we could be twins. Well of course I'd be the evil twin but that's a story for another time. Anyway she brings a lot more humor to the show with her obsession with Cody, but more importantly, her knowledge of the show. What many of the contestants didn't seem to grasp is, Sierra knows the show. Really well. If people would look past her dysfunctions they would see how valuable an ally she could be, not only with her knowledge but the girl is pretty athletic as well and she's crazy. Crazy means she's not easily frightened by things. She's totally a great ally to have, just make sure you make her think Cody's a part of the alliance too.

9. Dawn
My reasoning:
The girl is psychic! But let me point out exactly why that helps you; firstly, the snowball challenge. She could tell which ones were clean. She could tell what B was thinking, she could see people's auras, and more importantly she has no qualms telling them about it. Imagine if she used that for evil. She could completely throw people off their game. She's also good at judging characters and intentions, which is a sure way to know when people are about to betray the alliance.

8. Justin
My reasoning:
I have one single reasoning for this one. Eye candy. Distraction anybody?

7.Eva
My reasoning:
Despite my strong dislike of this character, she would be a strong ally to have. She's strong, athletic, and determined and not to mention she has a huge temper. Now you must be wondering, why the heck does a temper come into play? But you'll see is, combine massive strength, a raging temper, and a thirst for revenge and the other team may just end up with one less player. As long as you can focus her anger on the other team and keep her loyal, it'll be fine.

6. Izzy
My reasoning:
I have a similar reasoning to Sierra's yet completely different. Izzy is intelligent, she said so herself. Did you see Brainzilla? You just have to learn Izzy's quirks and personalities and learn to manipulate it at will. Not only that, but have you seen her fight Chef? He said so himself that fighting Izzy is between fighting 5-7 men at once. And not to mention she's sneaky. Sure she has a few personality deformities but like I said, learn to bring out her other sides. Use Explosivo when you need explosives! Use Brainzilla when you need an awesome game plan. They are all sides of Izzy, just learn to bring them out and try to keep Izzy's craziness contained.

5. Duncan
My reasoning:
The dude wrestled a crocodile, deals with Courtney, and despite having a rough exterior, he's pretty okay on the inside, which means if you gain his loyalty he'll help you. He's also cut-throat, athletic, smart, and a quick thinker. And he has a million dollars. That always helps.

4.Trent
My reasoning:
Trent's a really nice guy. Like, a REALLY nice guy. Did you hear the encouragement he offered Gwen in the awake-a-thon? You keep this guy around because he keeps spirits up and is good encouragement and he's also pretty athletic. He's also extremely loyal.

3.B
My reasoning:
The guy may not speak, but he's intelligent and a quick thinker. You definitely want him on your side just for that. He can get you out of sticky situations real quick.

2. Courtney
My reasoning:
Okay, okay, I know I said I'd leave behind all of my favorites to make this realistic but the reason why I like Courtney is because she IS a competitive and strong player. Girls cut throat and do you know what her stereotype the 'Type A' even means? Here, let me give you a definition:

"The theory describes a Type A individual as ambitious, rigidly organized, highly status conscious,, are truthful, impatient, take on more than they can handle, want other people to get to the point, proactive, and obsessed with time management. People with Type A personalities are often high-achieving "workaholics" who multi-task, push themselves with deadlines, and hate both delays and ambivalence."

Make sense now? Courtney will stop at nothing to win. Type A's are known for being extremely competitive and hostile and willing to do anything to achieve their goals, even at the risk of their own health. Can't take the science behind it? Okay how about an example. In season two, Courtney wrestled four sharks and came out the winner. She knocked Justin off of a platform in order to gain invincibility! Even though she loved Duncan, she had no problem damaging his ability to procreate. Several times throughout the first three seasons. She's also a great leader and has no problem fighting about what she thinks is wrong and right. The girl has some cut throat lawyers too and can help her allies write up fair contracts. Sounding like a good ally by now huh?

1. Chef
My reasoning:
As long as he stays behind the scenes, he's the best ally you could have. Why? take a look at the alliance between Dj and chef in season 2. If DJ had been a little more competitive and willing to play the game with no regrets, Chef is a great ally to have. For one, he can give you the good food that doesn't make you sick of gassy. And besides since he probably won't get it written in contract, if you manage to win you won't have to split the money with him because one he won't want to lose his job and two, other jobs will think he's untrustworthy and he'll be black listed, and three, he wouldn't win a lawsuit anyway.

People who you probably think should've been on this list but aren't:
Heather
Alejandro
Scott
Jo
my reasoning:
They'll stab you in the back without blinking. That's why.

Fan art of the day:
Who created it??? STILL NO IDEA! But it's awesome right? I think so. if you know who it's by, tell me and I'll edit it in to give the artist credit. Till next time!

Let's talk about relationships...

I've heard many say the age group of this show is mostly children-so am I the oldest person to watch this show? No, I don't think so. I think this show has the talent to draw the attention of many kinds of crowds, from older children (10-12) to teens like me (13-on) I may be fifteen but I enjoy this show as much, no more than when I first started watching it when it aired. I can enjoy the jokes and comedy of it a lot more now. Honestly I am a bit of a kid at heart but I am also a teenager who likes dirty jokes and stupid but hilarious comedy. And this show is gold. And I've met many a people who are around my age that love this show. So this brings me to my topic-relationships.

I recently viewed an interview with Tom Mcgillis, creator of this glorious show, that said that it was a network request to have Courtney and Duncan broken up because they were getting too serious. First off, I disagree. Secondly, the network can suck it. And thirdly, they really just made me hate Gwen more than I already did! And the reason why I disagree is because that relationship was so dysfunctional it still had a long way to go for it to be 'getting serious'. You wanna know of a certain relationship on the show that's gotten too serious? Bridgette and Geoff. Now don't get me wrong, I love that pairing but if you wanna bring up that this is a 'children' show and that the relationships are 'getting too serious' I'm fifteen and I still watch this show and from my perspective Courtney and Duncan had a long way to go make their relationship work. I'm still a big fan of their pairing of course. In fact, even though Duncan cheated, I still love him.

And now I bring up another factor. Most people love Duncan/Courtney pairing. Because they are so dysfunctional! But if you want to go on to how they work together, let me point out that Duncan and Gwen are alike. TOO ALIKE! Their relationship is nothing more than an infatuation. They work as friends, but they don't work as a couple. People who are too alike, especially people like Duncan and Gwen, who don't really  make up for each other's weaknesses are bound to not work out. However where Courtney and Duncan were, they're complete opposites. Seems unlikely they'll ever be together? WRONG! Have you ever heard of opposites attract? Not only that but if you've paid attention to their relationship you notice how they make each other better. Duncan gets Courtney to let loose and relax a little while Courtney helps keep Duncan in line. They may seem dysfunctional but once Duncan stands up to Courtney and the two talk, Courtney could probably let up on trying to fix everything about Courtney and Duncan could stop being such a dick. They both have their flaws but where one lacks, the other strengthens them in their weak points. I really wish they hadn't broken up and I really hope they get back together. If not, I might get very VERY upset. And depending on how it goes, I could stop watching the show. I love the show without Courtney and Duncan, but their relationship is definitely my favorite part of the show and I could get so disappointed I may just stop watching. Seriously. Not forever, but quite a while.

Now that I've finished ranting on Courtney and Duncan's relationship, how about another couple I like? Alejandro and Heather. Now I know that I'm contradicting myself with the opposites attract thing and being too alike but Heather and Alejandro are alike but not so much that their relationship could never work. First off, they have different ways of manipulating people. Whilst everyone knows Heather is a total bitch, Alejandro is constantly pretending to be some nice guy. Whilst Heather plays the game rigorously, Alejandro, though a formidable challenger, can sometimes have trouble when he doesn't have people to manipulate to work for him. They have different ways of working, not to mention other differences. Alejandro is a romantic. Heather is not. Heather has a bad temper. Alejandro keeps a cool head. So if you compare them without looking at those things, you see they are really alike but when you take a closer look there are enough differences that it does work. I really do like them together. I mean it's certainly not the best matched couple but they do make me smile. And the way Heather tries to deny her feelings for him is cute. And seriously only Alejandro can handle Heather and only Heather could handle Alejandro.

Name's Sierra everyone!

Just kidding. My name's not really Sierra. But this blog actually is about Total Drama. I'll talk all about the Total drama series, I'll post any theories, spoilers, fan art, and anything else that has to do with Total Drama on here. Firstly, my name is Whitney. I'm fifteen and I've loved Total drama from the beginning of the show. I may have not seen the show seventeen times like Sierra but I've seen the first three seasons about five times each and the fourth a couple. I know everything there is to know about the Total drama series. Name of Courtney's band? The Type A psychotic crazies. What is Izzy's IQ? 188, as she claims. Who's the creator of the show? Tom Mcgillis. Total Drama is my world. Now is anyone else as excited as me for the fifth season? I'm truly glad they're bringing back the original characters because I did not like the fourth season as much as the first three.

So a few things about me to get to know each other;

Name: Whitney, as I mentioned earlier

Age: 15, also mentioned earlier.

Favorite color: Silver. I LIKE SHINY!!!

Favorite TD character: Courtney

Least favorite TD character: Gwen

Favorite couple: B/G and C/D Can you tell why I hate Gwen? Nah I hated her even before that. She's stupid.

Favorite season: Weirdly enough, I enjoyed the second and third seasons the most, while I've heard from most people they enjoyed the first and fourth the most. Though the first season can never be replaced and is definitely amazing, I could do without the fourth season.

Favorite food: Sushi and cheese cake. Not together though. That's gross.

Favorite drink: Pepsi. DRINK OF THE GODS! Seriously it's like my coffee.

My stereotype: The southern belle or the brutally honest chick

Favorite challenge: The princess bride challenge. Haha that was hilarious!
